Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that starting your nutrition journey can bring up many questions. To help you feel prepared and confident for your first session, we have compiled answers to our most common enquiries regarding fees, referrals, and our clinical approach. If your question isn’t covered here, our team is more than happy to provide further clarity—simply reach out via our contact form.
When can I expect a reply to my enquiry?
We value your time and aim to be as responsive as possible. You can typically expect a reply from our team within 24–48 business hours. If you haven’t heard from us by then, please check your junk mail folder or give us a call.
How does a Telehealth appointment work?
Our Telehealth sessions are conducted via a secure, encrypted healthcare platform. You will receive a link via email before your appointment—simply click to join from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. No software downloads are required.
Do you see children or adolescents?
Yes. Tahnia specialises in adolescent nutrition. eating disorder care and mental health. We work closely with families to provide a supportive, age-appropriate environment for younger clients.
Can I book an appointment on behalf of a family member?
You may certainly enquire on their behalf. However, for the initial consultation, we require the consent of the individual (or a legal guardian for minors) to ensure they are ready and willing to engage in the nutrition process.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes, we require at least 24 hours notice for all cancellations or rescheduling to avoid a cancellation fee. This allows us to offer the appointment to someone else on our waiting list.
What should I do if I am in a health crisis or need urgent help?
Please note that Ausclin is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, or require immediate support for an eating disorder crisis, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14, call 000, or present to your nearest hospital emergency department.
How do I send my GP referral or blood test results?
You can securely email your documents to contact@ausclin.com.au prior to your appointment.
